Gold Horse painting material wishes for the successful holding of the Chinese oil painting master's sketching and gathering activities in Laos

　　In order to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, strive to practice General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on literary and artistic work, keep up with the pace of the country's "Belt and Road" initiative, promote the vigorous development of culture and art, and achieve the mission of "going global", the Northern Oil Painting Academy, Qingdao Phoenix Art Museum, and Qingdao Huangdao District Haiyou Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute jointly organized the "Phoenix International Cultural and Art Exchange - Chinese Oil Painting Masters Going to Laos for Sketching and Wind Collection Activity".

　　This year marks the tenth anniversary of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, which has strengthened regional connectivity and created opportunities for developing countries, including Laos. For more than three years, the "the Belt and Road" initiative has made positive contributions to Laos' social and economic development. On April 13, 2023, the international passenger train of the China Laos Railway officially started. The "Fuxing" international passenger train from Kunming, China, and the "Lancang" international passenger train from Vientiane, Laos began a "two-way journey" spanning 1035 kilometers. This time, Chinese oil painters went to Laos to collect styles and create sketches, which is also an important way to strengthen the artistic exchanges between the two countries.

　　Laos is located in the eastern part of the Indochinese Peninsula in Asia and is the only landlocked country in Southeast Asia. The mountains within the territory are undulating and the forests are dense. Elephants are abundant among animals, hence Laos is known as the "Capital of All Things". Laos has fresh air, minimal pollution, and a wide view in both urban and suburban areas. Its natural scenery and unique charm have captivated tourists. Vientiane is the capital of Laos, closely located on the left bank of the Mekong River. The city center extends from west to east and north, with a wide riverside avenue running through the entire city. On both sides of the street, tall and short plants such as coconut, banana, betel nut, longan, phoenix tail, and locust grow in a staggered manner, complementing each other beautifully. Luang Prabang is an ancient city located at the confluence of the Nam Kang River and the Mekong River in northern Laos, with beautiful mountains and clear waters. The city has an altitude of 290 meters and extends along the Mekong River. The terrain inside the city is flat, and the mountains in the suburbs stand tall, like a green barrier. The entire city is surrounded by mountains and water, with beautiful scenery.

　　Led Chinese artists to Vientiane, Luang Prabang and other places in Laos for a 5-day art exchange and sketching activity, allowing artists of different styles from the two countries to learn from each other, learn from each other, and make progress together. While improving one's own creative level and cultural cultivation, it also promotes the peaceful development of the two countries' cultures, injecting vitality into the prosperous development of their cultural arts.　　
　　The event was planned by Qingdao Phoenix Art Museum. Phoenix International Cultural and Artistic Exchange has successfully planned and held four sessions of "China Tajikistan National Cultural and Artistic Exchange" and eight sessions of "China South Korea International Cultural and Artistic Works Exchange Exhibition". The purpose of the event is to make the cultures of the two countries exchange what they need, let the Chinese people have a deeper understanding of the cultural landscape of each country, promote better exchanges between the two peoples, and improve the enthusiasm and initiative of the folk cultural exchanges between the two countries.
